DSC_4769 Pipi (Paphies australis) live animal in shell. Shell roughly symmetrical in outline, with the apex approximately half way along the dorsal margin. The valves are creamy white, but may be stained brown from rust deposits, or black from anaerobic mud. Found from mid-intertidal down to 10-12m. Warrington *
