DSC_8821 Black-edged limpet (Notoacmea pileopsis) common in the North Island, occurring south to about Banks Peninsula. Edge of the shell is thin and sharp, and has a distinctive black margin on the interior. Has a less well developed 'beak' than its closely related southern cousin (Notoacmea sturnus).
