DSC_6821 Denniston vagrant spider (Uliodon nov. sp.) female. A large, and as yet undescribed vagrant spider (Family Zoropsidae), widespread on the Denniston Plateau, and much more strongly patterned than other vagrant spiders. Females guard their dome shaped egg sacs very aggressively and may try to bite if you get too close. This species has a particularly distinctive threat display. It's range extends from the Paparoa Range north to the Denniston Plateau.
