11002-96104 Green tree frog (Ranoidea caerulea) several dozen of these arboreal frogs were introduced into NZ from Sydney in 1897 and 1899. The introductions appeared to fail, perhaps fortunately, as this species is large enough to consume our native frogs. A fresh dead adult frog was reported from Wanganui in February 1949, a large tadpole from Inglewood in June 1952, and two more tadpoles from Puketaha in March 1957. There have been no further records since then *
